VEHICLE ACCIDENT: Wrong Way Driving kills an 86-year-old Driver and another Person
February 1, 2012VICTORVILLE--- Marie Alessandro, 86, drove the wrong way on the 15 Freeway while driving her 2007 Toyota Corolla which resulted to fatal crash that killed her and another person.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) news release, Alessandro was driving in the southbound lanes from the Bear Valley Road off-ramp, and persisted on driving north in the southbound lanes at an undetermined speed.
The casualty was identified as John Bushwalter, 67, of Helendale, who was driving a 1993 Cadillac El Dorado, which Alessandro crashed head-on.
Bushwalter was pronounced dead at the scene. Alessandro, on the other hand, was airlifted to a hospital where she was declared dead.
