INDUSTRIAL ACCIDENT: Worker Dies in Flash Fire Accident in Fontana

Fontana - A 56-year-old worker died after sustaining third - degree burns at a recycling facility on 11100 Redwood Avenue on Friday.

The male employee was fixing a torch when it came close to propane and oxygen, resulting to a flash fire. The worker sustained third degree burns and was rushed to Kaiser Permanente Medical Center. He was pronounced dead at 9:04 a.m.

Cal-OSHA and Fontana police officers are investigating the details on the accident.
