VEHICLE CRASH: Woman Trapped in Overturned Vehicle, Dies in Crash

Alpine – A 19-year-old woman who was involved in an earlier crash died after her overturned PT Cruiser was hit by another vehicle near Bay Meadows Drive, reports said.

Authorities identified the woman as Chelsea Marie Jenner of Jamul.

Jenner was said to be heading east on Alpine Road when, for unknown reasons, she failed to stop for stationary vehicles waiting to turn left and rear-ended an SUV. Her vehicle then overturned on the westbound lanes where it was hit by an approaching vehicle.

Witnesses say Jenner appeared to be trapped in her overturned vehicle. She was declared dead at 4pm.

Rescuers say another person was brought to the hospital. The road was closed as authorities investigated the accident.
