October 13, 2010
Galt - A woman suffered serious injuries after a truck accident on Highway 12 on Monday.
Debra Hackett was solely driving a bus when it collided with a big-rig on Highway 12 at 4:40 p.m., reports said.
The 53-year-old woman remained in critical condition at UC Davis Medical Center. Elaine McDonald, driver of big-rig, also suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to John Muir Hospital, police said.
Reports said that the truck suddenly slowed down, allegedly causing the bus to collide with its rear.
Police officers are still investigating the details on the cause of accident.
