TRAIN ACCIDENT: Woman Dead as Train Slams into Car near Golden State Boulevard

Selma – A woman was fatally injured after a train hit a stopped car on the tracks along Golden State Boulevard Tuesday morning, reports said.

According to reports, the accident occurred on the intersection of Mountain View Avenue and Golden State Boulevard around 5:44 am. The train engineer reportedly saw the woman and sounded his horn but was unable to stop in time.

The southbound train hit the vehicle before it hit the woman that was exiting the car and was walking south on the tracks.

Authorities are expected to release the woman’s identity after her family has been notified.
