TRIP and FALL ACCIDENT: Westminster Woman Wants $20,000 in Damages for Trip and Fall Accident
August 9, 2010
Huntington Beach – A 59-year-old woman has recently filed her claims against the city for a trip and fall accident that broke her hip and fractured her knee last April, reports said.
In her claim filed in July 26, Carol Puszert from Westminster claims that after leaving the Murdy Recreation Center for her yoga class, she tripped on a parking block that is the same color as the asphalt which made it hard for her to notice it.
After the incident, Puszert underwent a hip replacement surgery and treatment for her injured knee. She was hospitalized for a week and had to miss work for 10 days during her recovery.
Puszert said that her claims does not include her medical expenses and only covers her lost wages and pain and suffering.
The city is still reviewing Puszert’s claims.
