DUI CAR ACCIDENT: ‘Three’s Company’ actress Joyce DeWitt Sentenced after Pleading Guilty to DUI Charges
May 27, 2010
Los Angeles - ‘Three’s Company’ actress Joyce DeWitt has been sentenced to three years of probation after she pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor counts of DUI.
According to reports, the 61-year-old actress was charged last July with driving while having a 0.08% or higher blood alcohol level and driving under the influence (DUI).
DeWitt was arrested after she was seen driving a black sports car around a barricade along Sierra Street and Pine Avenue.
According to witnesses, the actress then pulled up, parked her vehicle, and staggered towards a police officer.
Investigation revealed that DeWitt’s blood alcohol level at the time of the accident was .15%.
Reports said after DeWitt admitted her guilt, she was ordered to participate in a nine-month alcohol treatment program and pay a $510 fine.
