RECREATIONAL PARK ACCIDENT: Ten people injured in Knott's Berry Farm roller coaster crash

Orange Country - At least ten people sustained injuries in Knott's Berry Farm roller coaster crash on Thursday.

Investigations showed that the Pony Express roller coaster car failed to steer uphill and skidded backwards, crashing onto another car. The riders sustained whiplash injuries and were transported to a local hospital, reports said.

The Pony Express ride can speed up to 38 mph in 3 seconds. Knott's Berry Farm spokesperson clarified that the roller coaster ride had no previous technical problem.

The injured riders' ages are between 12 to 60 years old. Authorities are still investigating the cause of accident.

The amusement park continued its operations till 1 a.m.
