DUI-RELATED CAR CRASH: Suspected Drunken Driver Arrested after Hitting Tree, City Sign
November 5, 2010
Fullerton - A 25-year-old female driver has been arrested by the authorities on suspicion of driving under the influence, after she hit a tree and city sign, drove through planters and an alley, and smashed into a fence along a residential area, said reports.
The accident reportedly occurred at 340 North Woods Avenue, near Malvern Avenue. When authorities arrived at the accident area, they saw that the driver Kristin Alvarez, from La Miranda, was able to get out of the Toyota Tacoma on her own.
Reports said the driver was asked to undergo a field sobriety test after showing signs of intoxication. A test also showed that her Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) is twice the legal limit.
The woman sustained minor injuries in the accident. She was booked at the Fullerton City Jail.
