VEHICLE CRASH: Suspected DUI Driver Dies after Crashing into Sound Wall

Fairfield - A 38-year-old woman, believed to be under the influence, died after she lost control of her vehicle and hit a sound wall.

According to reports, the accident occurred near the intersection of Huber Drive and Peabody Road.

Officers found a wrecked vehicle along Peabody Drive, with the woman seated in the driver’s seat. Meanwhile, her 25-year-old male passenger was thrown off the vehicle and was lying face down on the road.

Reports said the woman was critically injured when she was found. She was rushed to NorthBay Medical Center where she was announced dead.

The passenger was airlifted to John Muir Medical Center where he was listed under a critical condition.
