Suspected DUI Driver Arrested After Hitting 2 LADWP Workers

Hollywood – A woman was arrested this morning for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs after causing a car accident that injured two employees of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power.
A spokesperson from LADWP said that the collision occurred near the intersection of Franklin Avenue and Canyon drive at around 2:00 am.
The two LADWP workers were at the scene to do repairs on an underground transformer before they were hit by the motorist.
They were quickly sent to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The identity of the victims and the arrested motorist were not immediately released by the authorities.
The circumstances of the accident are still under investigation.
