CAR ACCIDENT: Stevenson Ranch Man Charged for Leaving Fatal Crash Scene

January 12, 2011

Los Angeles - A Stevenson Ranch man was charged with felony hit-and-run after leaving the scene of a fatal crash in North Hollywood on Sunday.

According to Los Angeles Police reports, Adrian Diamond, 21, was detained at Van Nuys in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Diamond was driving his Ford Thunderbird north of Coldwater canyon when he hit a pedestrian on Saturday at 8 pm, reports said.

The pedestrian, Earl Biggs, 76, was transported to a local hospital but was pronounced dead minutes after arrival.

Diamond flew from the accident scene but returned the next morning at 8 am. LAPD officers commented that if Diamond had stayed, he may not have to face stern penalties.
