CAR ACCIDENT: Sleepy Driver, 2 Others Injured in Visalia Solo-Car Accident

Visalia - A drowsy driver and two of his passengers sustained injuries after the 1996 Toyota Corolla they were riding in smashed into a tree, said reports.
According to California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers, the driver identified as 18-year-old Henry Carrillo III, from Visalia, was traveling south along Highway 99 at Avenue 328 when the accident occurred.
The driver claimed that he fell asleep while behind the wheel, causing the car to swerve towards a dirt shoulder and slam into a tree, said police.
He suffered from hand lacerations and a broken right arm. An elderly passenger identified as 50-year-old Henry Carrillo Jr., from Visalia, suffered from lacerations to the head and a broken left arm.
Meanwhile, another passenger identified as 17-year-old Marina Carrillo, from Visalia, complained of back and neck pain, said reports.
The driver and his injured passengers were rushed to Kaweah Delta Medical Center to receive immediate medical treatment.
