MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT: Santa Clarita Valley deputy died in off-duty motorcycle crash

Santa Clarita, Calif. - A young deputy of Santa Clarita Valley (SCV) department died in an off-duty motorcycle crash at McBean Parkway on Wednesday.

Deputy Cameron Glover, 27 years old, was riding his motorcycle when it collided with a car on McBean Parkway near Granary Square in Valencia at 6:25 p.m., police said.

Glover, was heading north when the vehicle collided with his motorcycle, causing it to lose control and strike a median, reports said.

Glover leaves behind his 7-month pregnant wife. He had served the SCV for two years.

“All the staff at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station has heavy hearts, as we have lost a great friend, partner and a fellow community protector,” Los Angeles County sheriff’s Sgt. Darren Harris said.

Authorities are still investigating details on the cause of the accident.
