TRAIN ACCIDENT: San Francisco Muni Light Rail Train Hits Pedestrian
March 25, 2010
San Francisco – A pedestrian accident in San Francisco involving a Muni light rail vehicle injured one person in the Bayview District this morning.
According to a Muni spokesperson Kristen Holland, a pedestrian was struck by a T-Third train and was brought to San Francisco General Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
The collision occurred in the intersection of Third Street and William’s Avenue at about 9:00 am, Holland added.
The Muni service on the T-Third line was disrupted for about an hour due to the accident and was restored at about 10:02 am.
Authorities deployed bus shuttles to take over the services between Armstrong and Custer Avenues while they restore services.
