Sacramento - Authorities are trying to verify reports that an engineer had faked safety reports, which put the safety of the bridges of several local freeways in question, a report by the Sacramento Bee mentioned.
The report said a Caltrans engineer and a supervisor had made up stress results and threw out the original data. They have both been suspended as authorities continue with their investigations.
Authorities are also looking into other projects that the two had worked and determine if the projects were built strong enough.
This projects include the new bridge on 405 Freeway in Culver City as well as a bridge on the 91 Freeway and a carpool flyover connecting the 60 and 57 freeways in Diamond Bar.
