ROLLOVER CRASH: Rollover Crash on I-5 Injures Four

Irvine – At least two children and two adults were injured Tuesday afternoon when a northbound Cadillac Escalade overturned near Jeffrey Road, authorities said.

According to reports, the Orange County Fire Authority got a call shortly after noon regarding the two-vehicle accident along I-5.

The California Highway Patrol said that a sofa was reported to be on the highway before the accident occurred. They are investigating whether the driver of the Cadillac swerved to avoid the sofa whose owners pulled over at the right shoulder of the freeway.

The children involved sustained minor injuries while the adults had traumatic injuries. All four were taken to a hospital.
