HEAD-ON COLLISION: Police: Man May Have Suffered from Medical Condition Prior to Burlingame Accident
July 27, 2011
Burlingame- Authorities suspect that an 81-year old man, from Mountain View, has suffered from a medical condition which led to a head-on collision and to his death.
According to reports, the elderly man was traveling west along Broadway when his 1998 Honda CRV suddenly headed towards the eastbound lane and collided head-on with a 2001 Volvo being driven by a 60-year-old woman.
The man was rushed to San Francisco General Hospital, where he died. Investigators have not yet determined whether the collision or natural causes led to the man’s death.
The other driver sustained non-life threatening injuries due to the collision, said reports.
