CAR CRASH: Police Officer Injured in Fresno Car Crash
December 1, 2010
Fresno – A police officer suffered non-life threatening injuries Tuesday evening when the patrol car he was driving crashed into another vehicle in an intersection in downtown Fresno.
According to reports, the victim was on his way to assist another officer when his car crashed at the intersection of Divisadero and Fulton Streets at around 7:30 pm. Authorities said the officer had his siren and lights on when he entered the intersection.
Meanwhile, the occupants of the other vehicle suffered mild injuries. A Fresno Police Department officer said the driver volunteered to be taken to the hospital for officials to check if he was intoxicated or had taken illegal drugs.
The police officer was brought to the hospital, and was later released.
