ROLLOVER ACCIDENT: Pleasant Hills Couple Killed in I-15 Rollover Accident

Newberry Springs – A couple from Pleasant Hills were died Thursday evening after a rollover car accident along Interstate 15 in Newberry Springs, the California Highway Patrol said.

Lloyd Schine, and Lorna Schine, both 59, suffered fatal injuries when the Ford F-150 pickup truck they were riding rolled over on the northbound lanes of Interstate 15 at around 5:45 pm.

For unknown reasons, the driver veered off the road and fell into a dirt embankment where it tipped over. Lorna was killed at the scene, while Lloyd succumbed to his injuries while being transported.

The driver of the pickup was brought to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident.
