DOG BITE INCIDENT: Pit bulls Maul Elderly Man to Death
August 23, 2010
Mountain Ranch – A 69-year-old man died after he was reportedly mauled by two pit bulls late Sunday afternoon, authorities said.
Reports show that Calaveras County sheriff's deputies responded to a call from Mountain Ranch where they found Jerry Yates on the 6900 block of Doster Road. Yates appeared to have died from the mauling of two dogs owned by 49-year-old Mountain Ranch woman, Sheryl Sellers.
Sellers was arrested as one of the pit bulls were taken by animal services.
