PLANE ACCIDENT: Pilot Injured in Sacramento Plane Accident

Sacramento – The pilot of a single-engine plane got injured in a crash near Sacramento Airport this afternoon. The plane accident occurred at about 2:20 pm near Garden Highway and Power Line Road.
The FAA described the plane as a single-engine Beechcraft Bonanza that was heading towards Davis before it experienced engine trouble.
The pilot, whose identity was not released by authorities, decided to divert the plane to Sacramento due to the engine problem.
According to the Sacramento Fire Department, the plane hit some SMUD power lines near the Sacramento International Airport which may have caused the plane crash.
The crash also sparked a grass fire that was quickly handled by the responding firefighters.
The plane is registered under Rosemead Properties, Inc of El Monte.
