CAR ACCIDENT: Passenger killed in DUI collision

Oakland – An intoxicated driver run a red light and crashed into another car, killing its passenger, in an intersection near Oakland International Airport, Saturday evening.
According to officer Jeff Thomason, the drunk driver was in his Ford F-150 pickup heading east in Doolittle Drive when he run a red light at Hegenberger Road, and then collided with a red 2007 Pontiac G6, at around 5:30 p.m.
The 43-year-old Oakland man who was aboard the Pontiac was found dead on the spot, while the driver, a 27-year-old Richmond woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The driver of the pickup, who was suspected of DUI was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
Thomason says officers also discovered a large quantity of marijuana in the pickup.
