CAR CRASH: Overspeeding Female Driver Dies in Santee Crash

Santee – A woman believed to be driving too fast died after she lost control of her SUV as it crashed near a house in Santee early Wednesday morning, authorities said.

Reports indicate that the woman was driving along the southbound lanes of North Magnolia Avenue at around 2:30 am when she lost control of a red Dodge Durango causing it to veer across all lanes and shear off a power pole.

The SUV then hit a tree before it rolled over and rested on its side in the front yard of a house.

The woman was partially ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities believe she was not wearing a seatbelt when the crash occurred.

Authorities are yet to determine whether alcohol or drugs were a factor in the accident.
