MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT: Motorcyclist killed in Palm Desert Accident

Palm Desert - A man died after a motorcycle accident at the intersection of Portola Avenue and Country Club Drive on Sunday, reports said.

Michael John Barrett, 43 years old, was heading west of Country Club Drive when he failed to heed at a stop sign and collided onto a vehicle, California Highway Patrol reports said.

Barett, resident of Cathedral City, was transported to a local hospital, but was pronounced dead minutes after arrival.

The other driver suffered minor injuries and was treated at Eisenhower Medical Center.

CHP officers are still investigating the details on the cause of accident.
