Motorcycle Accident Killed Elderly Rider

Tulare – A 71-year-old man was killed when his motorcycle was rear-ended by a pick-up truck Tuesday morning in Terra Bella, authorities said.
The unidentified motorcyclist was reportedly heading west on Avenue 95 at around 8:40 when he was struck from behind by a Ford F150. He then was thrown from his motorcycle and landed on the roadway where he died instantly, the California Highway patrol said.
The rider is said to have stopped and was trying to get to his driveway near Road 248. The driver of the pick-up, John Josephson, 74, failed to notice the motorcycle and so he crashed onto it.
Josephson’s pick-up overturned as a result of the collision. He sustained moderate injuries.
