Mislabeled Soup Recalled from Shelves
November 04, 2009
Meijer Cream, manufacturers of Mushroom Reduced Sodium Condensed soup and Chicken Noodle Reduced Sodium Soup, have recalled the product from the market after they were found out to be mislabeled and might cause harm to consumers who are allergic to eggs. The products were recalled the other day.
The product’s 10.5-ounce cans were mislabeled with expiration date of August 7, 2011. There were no reported cases yet of allergic reactions.
The products were sold at Meijer stores in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky. Consumers were encouraged to return them to the store to receive a full refund.
