BICYCLE ACCIDENT: Man Seriously Wounded in Bike Accident

Oroville – An unidentified cyclist suffered major head injuries when he flipped off his bicycle at Olive Highway, Thursday evening.

According to California Highway Patrol Sgt. Steve Dubravetz, the man was biking diagonally across Olive Highway, heading up the right side of Kelly Ridge Road when he hit something that made him lost control.

Report says he swerved across the road and flipped off his bike, causing serious head injuries. The man was not wearing a helmet, Dubravetz said.

He was immediately brought to Oroville Hospital, where he was flown to Enloe at about 6:30 p.m.

The man’s name and age has not yet been identified by the CHP.
