TRAIN ACCIDENT: Long Beach police officer pinned under Metro Blue Line train

Long Beach - A police officer from Long Beach Police Department was pinned under Metro Blue Line train after a collision near Pacific Coast Highway on Wednesday at 1:15 p.m.
The southbound train collided with the black-and-white cruiser at the intersection of Long Beach Boulevard and 16th Street. The train hauled the car dozens of feet and lugged the officer down the tracks.
Long Beach firefighters pulled out the unidentified police officer from the crashed patrol car and rushed him to Long Beach Memorial Medical Center.
Reports said that the police officer sustained only minor injuries and has been in stable condition. Several passengers were transported to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Authorities were still investigating the details on the accident.
