TRAIN ACCIDENT: Long Beach-bound Train Collides with Car
Downtown Los Angeles– A train accident has occurred Downtown Friday between a Blue Line train heading for Long Beach and a sedan.
According to the reports, it took place between 18th Street and Flower at 2:52 PM when the sedan crossed the light train’s path.
No word from the authorities has surfaced yet as to why the light train failed to stop on its tracks while the sedan is crossing the path, reports said.
LA City Fire spokesman Brian Humphrey said that nine people were injured in the accident. There were four men inside the sedan and five people who are aboard the light train when the accident happened.
They were all taken to local hospitals around the area. Luckily, none of the nine people who were injured suffered life-threatening injuries.
