ROLLOVER ACCIDENT: I-5 Rollover Accident Injures 5 People

Bakersfield – An SUV rollover accident has injured five people in Intestate 5 this afternoon.

The incident happened at about 1:00 pm near the intersection of the southbound lane of the I-5 and Buttonwillow Drive after the driver of the SUV lost control of the vehicle.

The SUV then rolled over and resulted in every occupant, the driver and four passengers, to be ejected from the vehicle.

According to the CHP, 2 people sustained major injuries while two other sustained minor injuries.

The condition of the fifth person was still unknown.

There is no word yet on what caused the driver to lose control and the CHP is still investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
