Hit and run accident leaves driver facing murder trial
January 16, 2012Ventura County – The driver who killed a killed in a hit-and-run incident in Ventura County is now facing murder charges, reports claimed.
Authorities have presented evidence that the driver, Satnam Singh, had blood alcohol content (BAC) that was approximately five times more than the legal limitation.
According to officials, Singh had 0.39 BAC when the accident occurred. The driver was reportedly travelling approximately 80mph before hitting the victim, Nicl Haverland.
The legal counsel of the driver countered the murder charge citing that Singh was too drunk to commit murder, latest reports said.
