Hit-and-Run kills Man in North Hollywood

North Hollywood – A 30-year old man was killed after a hit and run crash early morning in North Hollywood.

The police identified the man as Gabriel Pompa.

According to Sgt. Ben Alonso of the Los Angeles Police, Pompa was killed around 2:15a.m. near the intersection of Satsuma Avenue and Vanowen Street in North Hollywood.

A motorist who was driving by saw the body and called 911. There was no witness but the police is hoping that the cameras around the area will be able to provide them with a footage of the driver who fled the scene.

Pompa was found lying near the curb and was already dead when the police officers arrived.

Alonso added that there was no marked crosswalk where the victim was hit so they are not sure of what happened at the moment.
