VEHICLE COLLISION: Head-On Collision in Dumbarton Bridge Seriously Injures 2 People

Palo Alto – At least two people were seriously injured after a head-on collision near Dumbarton Bridge last night.

The car accident occurred a few minutes before 9:00 pm when a wrong way driver crashed into another vehicle near the bridge’s high rise section.

Responding firefighters had to extricate at least one person from each vehicle.

Both sustained serious injuries and were brought to local hospitals. The victims’ current conditions were still unknown.

It was not clear if any of the other occupants were injured in the crash.

A Sig-alert was issued shortly after 9:00 pm and traffic was closed on the westbound lanes of the bridge.

The lanes were reopened at 10:25 pm.
