VEHICLE ACCIDENT: Fresno Crash Leaves Woman Seriously Injured

January 20, 2010

Fresno – A woman was seriously injured after her vehicle crashed onto a big rig in Highway 99 before hitting a guardrail, the California Highway Patrol said.

Thirty- one year-old Gina Freeeman of Selma was travelling on her southbound Chrysler that was exceeding 65mph in the fastlane of Orange Avenue when she failed to negotiate an oncoming road condition and lost control of the vehicle.

Freeman reportedly drove into a gravel median when the lane she was driving on ended, as four lanes were reduced to three. She then veered onto the path of a Freightliner before hitting a guardrail.

Freeman was taken to Community Regional Medical Center where her condition remained critical.
