Freeway Fiery Crash Kills Truck Driver
July 24, 2009
Fullerton – A fiery crash in 57 Freeway that closed both directions killed a big rig truck driver and injured 4 other people Thursday night, authorities said.
According to Officer Gabe Montoya of the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the truck was heading south on State Highway 57 near Fullerton when it hit another vehicle.
The cause of the collision caused both vehicles to rollover and burst into flames.
The truck ended up hitting the median on its side, partially on northbound lane.
The truck driver was pronounced dead on the scene while four passengers in the other vehicle were hurt.
The extent of their injuries is not yet known.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident.
