TRUCK ACCIDENT: Four-year-old Boy, Woman Killed in H-156 Truck-Car Collision

Monterey Country- A four-year old boy and his adult female companion died after a truck-car crash on Highway 156 west of Meridian Road on Friday at 2:35 p.m.
Alex Navarro and Maria Almanza-Romero (48) were both pronounced dead at the scene.
Ron Williams, the truck driver, was heading westbound on Meridian Road when he struck Romero's Honda Accord car. The truck hurled eastbound and collided onto a Chrysler Sebring, carrying the young boy, CHP officers said.
Chrysler Sebring's driver Cassandra Jones sustained minor injuries and were transported to Natividad Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries, reports said.
CHP officers are still investigating the details on the cause of accident.
Navarro family and their friends set up a memorial fund in memory of young Alex.
