February 8, 2011
Oxnard - At least five people suffered injuries after a sedan collided onto the rear of Gold Coast Transit bus at C and Fifth streets on Tuesday morning.
A sedan driver and four bus passengers were injured after the car hit the back of the bus, which was waiting on red light to make a left turn at the intersection, according to Oxnard police officers.
Reports said that Richard Comac, the sedan driver, was heading eastbound on Fifth when he failed to stop and crashed onto the bus. He suffered fractured bones on both legs and was rushed to Ventura County Medical Center.
The bus was carrying 26 passengers at the time of accident, where four suffered minor injuries. Rescuers rushed three of them to a local hospital.
Authorities are still investigating the details on the cause of accident.
