CAR CHAIN ACCIDENT: Fiery Chain Accident Kills Two in Claremont
November 19, 2010
Claremont – At least two people were killed in a fiery crash that involved 10 vehicles travelling along Foothill (210) Freeway Thursday night, the California Highway Patrol said.
Reports show that five vehicles, including a big rig, were on fire in the accident that occurred around 6pm on the eastbound lane of the freeway in San Antonio Avenue.
Two males were found dead inside their vehicles. Their identities are yet to be released.
The eastbound lanes of the Baseline Road intersection in Claremont were closed for five hours and traffic backed up into Los Angeles County.
It is unclear how many were injured in the accident as authorities investigate to determine its cause.
