PERSONAL INJURY: Family Wins Over Emotional Suffering Claim against CHP
January 31, 2012LADERA RANCH --- After almost five years of court battle, the family of car accident victim, Nikki Catsouras, has finally won emotional suffering charges against the California Highway Patrol, reports said.
It was reported that the accident photos of Catsouras surfaced in various websites without the consent of the family’s consent. Two CHP dispatchers were blamed for the incident.
The family filed emotional suffering charges against the CHP due to the photo leakage, reports stated.
According to Catsouras family attorney, Keith Bremer, settlement or compensation was granted to the family “for the emotional and pain suffering associated with the release of the photos.”
The victim was said to be driving her father’s Porsche on the afternoon of Halloween in 2006 and suddenly lost control of it; thus, the cause of her death.
