PRODUCTS LIABILITY: FDA Hunts for Salmonella-contaminated Cilantro Products Distributed in California

Salinas – The Food and Drug Administration has claimed that no illnesses caused by cilantro products containing salmonella have been reported so far.

Despite this, FDA is recalling at least 6,141 cartons of cilantro manufactured by Pacific International Marketing, reports said.

Authorities have said that contaminated products have UPC code of 33383 80104. The cilantro products were distributed in California, New Jersey, South Carolina, Massachusetts, Arizona, and Indiana.

Experts claim that products positive for salmonella contamination may result into food poisoning, typhoid fever, and other related health complications, reports added.
