SUV accident: Ex-NFL linebacker Junior Seau injured in SUV accident, hours after arrest

Carlsbad - Former Dolphins linebacker Junior Seau sustained injuries after a single SUV accident at Southern California beach on Monday, hours after his arrest on domestic violence charges, reports said.
The ex-NFL star drove his SUV off a cliff about 30 feet from the Southern California highway. Paramedics transported him to Scripps La Jolla Hospital in San Diego, reports said.
Police said that the 12-time Pro Bowler was found on the beach five hours after his release from jail on domestic violence charges.
His 25-year old girlfriend told police that Seau assaulted her at their Oceanside home on Sunday night. She complained of minor injuries, according to reports.
Police officers are still investigating the details on the accident.
