VEHICLE ACCIDENT: Escondido Yogurt Shop Damaged in a Crash Involving a 17-Year-Old Driver

Escondido– A Yogurt Universe shop in Escondido has sustained damages that amounted to around $20,000 after a 17-year-old male driver driving a sport utility vehicle struck the shop on 1485 East Valley Parkway, Sunday about 11:30 a.m.
Authorities said the silver SUV was parked in front of the yogurt shop when it suddenly leaped unto the curb and crashed unto the entrance of the shop.
The driver may have stepped on the gas instead of the brakes, authorities further affirmed.
No one was injured in the accident but the shop sustained damages estimated to cost around $20,000.
The family of the driver inside the vehicle apologized repeatedly and took all the responsibility for the accident.
