CAR ACCIDENT: Elderly Woman Injured in Hit-and-Run Car Crash

Los Angeles- A 73-year-old woman sustained non-life threatening injuries after a van driver struck her car and left the accident scene in Melrose on Monday at 8:36 p.m., said reports.

Dorothy Wiechmann was driving eastbound on Stearns County Road 65 when her car was hit by a white Ford van. Her car fell into an embankment while the van driver continued moving south, according to Los Angeles police reports.

Reports said the woman was transported to a hospital in Melrose.

Authorities are still searching the whereabouts of the Ford male driver and the van.
