PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT: Elderly Man Struck while Crossing Fruitridge Road

Sacramento – An elderly man crossing a street near Stockton Boulevard died after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday morning, authorities said.

Reports show that the unidentified man was crossing Fruitridge Road using a cane around 6:30 am when he was hit by a vehicle.

A witness told authorities that the elderly who lived nearby regularly goes to a nearby restaurant using a power chair and usually crosses at an intersection.

He was taken to UC Davis Medical Center where he later died.
