CAR ACCIDENT: Elderly Driver May Have Had a Stroke Causing Fatal Crash

Clairemont– Authorities are now looking at the possibility that the 74-year-old woman who caused a fatal accident Tuesday afternoon could have suffered from stroke or a heart attack.
According to reports, the unidentified woman was driving on the northbound lane of Mount Alifan Drive when she accelerated and ran a red light while on the intersection of Mount Aguilar drive around 3pm.
The woman’s Honda was hit on the driver’s side by a Saab that was turning east on Mount Aguilar Drive. The elderly driver died on the scene.
The 35-year-old female driver of the Saab was not injured but her child passenger was taken to a hospital to be examined.
