HIT-AND-RUN: Elderly Dies in Madera Hit-and-Run Accident

Madera - A 68-year-old man died after he was struck by vehicle while crossing the South A Street intersection, said reports.

The pedestrian was identified as Eladio Lemus, from Madera.

Authorities are in search of a 1995 to 1999 model of a white Volkswagen Jetta. Reports said it was moving westbound along Sixth Street when it hit Lemus at around 8 p.m.

Anyone who has information regarding the fatal accident is asked to call the police.
