Irvine - A drunk motorist is now facing arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence and causing damage to other properties and the Orange County fair Authority’s Eternal Flame Memorial in Irvine, police officials said.

Authorities said the drunk driver also damaged a gate, knocked down a pole, jumped a curb before hitting the monument.

The driver sustained a broken foot and had to be taken to a hospital for treatment. He is expected to be arrested later.
