VEHICLE COLLISION: Driver Killed in Roseville Head-on Collision

Roseville – A 68-year-old man suffered fatal injuries Saturday afternoon when he drove in the wrong direction and collided head-on with another vehicle on Douglas Boulevard near Rocky Ridge Drive, authorities said.

Cecil Alvin Feathers drove his 2010 Toyota sedan across the road’s median and smashed into an oncoming 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer, driven by a 34-year-old man. Roseville Fire Department responded to the accident, which was reported at around 12:15 pm.

Rescuers transported Feathers to Sutter Roseville Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The other driver received medical attention in the same hospital, while his 3-year old son was brought to UC Davis Medical Center for treatment.

Officials said Feathers may have had medical problems while driving, causing him to lose control of the vehicle.
