VEHICLE ACCIDENT: Driver Hits, Kills Man in Wheelchair

Sacramento – A man in his wheelchair was recently killed after being hit by a vehicle while crossing in an unmarked crosswalk near Jessie Avenue, reports said.
The unidentified 66-year-old man was reportedly crossing Norwood Avenue on an unmarked crosswalk and was probably returning to his apartment after going to a grocery store when he was hit by a Subaru driven by a 67-year-old man.
The driver immediately stopped and has been cooperative with authorities as the man was taken to Mercy San Juan hospital where he later died from injuries.
